Basic Web Page Elements (Page Title, H1 Tag and Meta-Description Tag) help Search Engines understand your intended meaning, linking keywords to content.
If Search Engines can't find your web page (the purpose of a Sitemap.xml file) or you've blocked access to certain web pages (by excluding pages in your robots.txt file) you're not going to show up when a customer searches on “your keywords.”
Google, et al, use Page Title, url and
(in most cases) the content in the
Meta-Description Tag to create the listings on the Search Results Page.

Not sure what happened, but something went terribly wrong. It might have been our servers, your connection to the internet, sunspots, solar flares, coronal mass ejections, global warming, or God forbid, an exceptionally rare bug in our code.
Whatever the case, please give it another try.
That URL you entered doesn’t seem to be working. Maybe the website is offline or it’s just taking too long and our system had to give up looking.
And then there’s that remote possibility of a typo in the URL…
Whatever the case, please give it another try.
Sorry, but we don’t support relic-versions of Internet Explorer (6,7,8).
In order for FreeSEOScorecard to work properly we need the latest browser engines like Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 9.
Please consider giving a test-drive to Google Chrome (our personal favorite), Firefox or upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer.
Hmmm…. You may not know it, but you’re accessing our site through a proxy server. Proxies are like middlemen that get in the way. A lot of companies use them to filter content and block access to dangerous sites (like keeping employees off Reddit, Facebook and LinkedIn).
The problem for us is that our technology just can’t function correctly when there’s a proxy between your computer and our servers. Sorry.
Two options: One, most companies have established procedures for providing direct access to legitimate business tools like ours. Speak to your IT pros and ask them how they can help you.
Or two, access our site outside your corporate walls (like at a local Starbucks or from home).
